THE FORGING PROCESS
Forged in the USA. Engineered Without Compromise.
Every E5 Forged wheel begins with purpose. Designed exclusively for Corvette platforms, our forged wheels are engineered and manufactured in the United States to meet the extreme demands of performance, precision, and strength. From aerospace-grade material selection to final finishing, each step is executed with intention—eliminating excess, reinforcing structure, and delivering uncompromising performance for the C8 Z06, ZR1, and E-Ray.
MATERIALS
The process begins with 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum billet, selected for uniform grain structure, tensile strength, and fatigue resistance—forming the structural foundation for high-pressure forging.
FORGING
Through high-pressure forging, the aluminum is compressed under immense force to refine and realign its internal grain structure. This critical step increases material density, enhances fatigue resistance, and significantly improves impact strength compared to cast or flow-formed alternatives. The result is a forging with superior structural integrity at its core—engineered to handle both street and track demands.

A precision measuring probe rotates around the wheel to verify runout, concentricity, and dimensional accuracy, ensuring exact tolerances are met across the entire profile.
MACHINING
Once forged, each wheel is precision-machined in California using advanced 5-axis CNC equipment. Material is removed strategically and with purpose, allowing us to reduce rotational mass while preserving strength in high-load areas such as the hub, spokes, and barrel transition zones. Every cut is engineered to improve stiffness, response, and balance without sacrificing durability.

FINISHING
Final refinement is completed by hand, ensuring perfect symmetry, crisp edges, and visual clarity across all surfaces. Each wheel then receives a premium finish, applied and inspected to meet strict standards for corrosion resistance, longevity, and visual consistency.
BEFORE
Precision machining leaves visible tool paths along each spoke, which are carefully brushed and refined to achieve a smooth, uniform surface before finishing.
AFTER
After brushing, the surface is clear coated to lock in the finish while enhancing depth, clarity, and long-term protection.
